D.D.P. Anti-Bully Workshops
The Bridge Arts Inner City Youth Initiative Movement offers a Conflict Resolution Anti-Bullying Prevention Arts program called D.D.P. (Detect, Deter and Prevent). It entails real life scenarios of conflict where by each participant will have to recognize and know how to respond accordingly to the level of threat whether they are indoors or outdoors This program is open to ages 5 and older.
Olympic Referee Trainee
This program is provided in conjunction with the National Karate Federation. Participants will learn Competitor Safety, Adjudication, Score Keeping and Operation of Matches. After finishing the course, each participant will receive a certificate of completion and will receive a registration number within the National Karate Federation database allowing them to work in the field on a Local Level (State and City). This program is open to ages 16 and older.
This program is provided in conjunction with L.E.A.P. (Leading and Educating to Achieve Potential). This entails the process of starting a business. Participants will learn leadership skills, identifying, valuing and capturing opportunities. Participants will acquire the entrepreneurial mindset crucial for all organizations; small or large; new or old; for-profit or not-for-profit. This program is open to ages 13 and older.
Bronx Community Gardener
The Bridge Arts Community Gardener Program is meeting the needs of survival by teaching its participants how to create and grow a garden filled with all the essential Super Foods of fruits and vegetables the body needs to maintain and remain in balance for an optimized life of longevity. This program is open to ages 13 and older. Participants will also learn composting in conjunction with the New York Botanical Garden and have the opportunity to become a Certified Master Composter. Participants must be 18 and older for Certification after completion of training and 30 hours of field work.
Traditional Martial Arts and Fitness
This program is provided in conjunction with the New York City Parks and Recreation. It entails physical fitness, Kata (Defensive Movements), Bunkai (Offensive Movements), Ippon Kumite (Self Defense Applications) and Children’s Fast Defense (Fear Adrenal Stress Training). Participants embark on a journey in the discipline of self control mentally, physically and spiritually. Participants learn timing and rhythmic patterns of body mechanics that will enable them to defend themselves proficiently against on-coming attacks by possible assailants. This program is ongoing depending upon the Participant. There are no limits. This program is open to ages 5 and older.
Eating foods that are unhealthy for your body is do to a lack of knowledge and conditioning by what is presented in the mainstream and the media from childhood to adulthood. We are conditioned to follow and not question the subconscious programming of the resources available for consumption. Because of this, we buy foods that destroy our micro biome leading to enzyme deficiency igniting health complications for the human body. It is imperative we understand the inner and outer workings of the human anatomy and how we must cultivate a natural lifestyle and a way of being to fulfill the greater need of survival against the unnatural elements presented to us on a daily basis for consumption. Participants will learn the dangers of chemicals and pesticides, healthy diets, nutrients in food and their principal role, energy balance and herbal formulas to assist in the prevention and demise of potential illnesses. This program is open to ages 13 and older.
